Snevejr

Tal R’s woodcut Snevejr (Snowy Weather) captures a phenomenon that usually evades our perception: nighttime snowfall, the moment right before the snowflakes reach the ground. A fleeting moment, barely perceivable by the human eye, which Tal R captures through carefully considered linework and atmospheric colours. While the arrangement of the trees in the composition suggests spatial depth, the trees themselves appear two-dimensional and almost like theatre props, with the snow descending in front of them like a curtain.
