A review of Tacita Dean’s recent exhibition Geography Biography at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, appears in the Australian printmaking magazine Imprint. The article investigates the process and story behind the works, with a focus on the Telomere prints that were produced at BORCH Editions.

The article also describes the title piece of the exhibition, Geography Biography 2023, a diptych film, which combines still found images with film outtakes that date from Dean’s early days as an art student to the present. Included in the exhibition was the majestic chalk drawing on blackboard, The Wreck of Hope 2022, and Sakura (Jindai I) 2023 , a photograph of a centuries old sacred Japanese cherry tree, with a hand-coloured background. Seen together, the works in the exhibition provide an overview of Tacita Dean’s practice.
