Untitled - June 10th

The vast, seemingly abandoned landscape Adam Jeppesen depicts in Untitled June 10th gives no hint to its geographic location. While the title points to the date of creation, the image seems almost out of time and space.
The scene is part of Adam Jeppesen’s ongoing project Flatlands Camp Project, which documents his solitary journey through the Americas over a period of 487 days that started in the Arctic and ended in Antarctica.
The light, almost translucent appearance of ink in the photogravures underlines the solitude of the landscapes. They seem dreamlike and detached from reality, offering the beholder a surface for personal mindscapes.
