Risberg
Soft gradients blending in and out forms a landscape of shadows and colors.
A meditative terrain emerges from Eriksson’s arrangements of coloured surfaces.
The print is titled Risberg, referring to a specific place, part of Dalarna in central Sweden. The topographies of tonalities are inspired by this area and its nature. Most of Dalarna is covered in coniferous forest and large hilly granite terrain.
To give a certain sense of tactile touch Andreas Eriksson has sandblasted the copper plates creating soft gradients. The overall combination of multiple subtle color tones is the result of several copper plates, making up the final composition.
