Lalibela Void
Lalibela, one of Ethiopia’s most sacred cities, is a centre of pilgrimage famous for its monolithic rock-cut churches. Carved from the living rock, the architectural structures have an almost sculpture-like appeal, making them perfect objects for the study of negative space and for the phenomena of light and shadow.
