Tools of the Workshop
Printmaking plays an important role in Katrin von Maltzahn’s artistic practice; she held a professorship for printmaking at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany from 2009 until 2014 and has since been teaching both painting and printmaking at Hochschule der Künste in Bremen, Germany. In Tools of the Workshop she investigates the creation of an etching on a meta-level, combining her artistic and scholarly interest in the medium.
