Cartographic Series II
Cartographic Series I – IV is based on aerial photographs of Icelandic terrain that Olafur Eliasson obtained from the National Land Survey of Iceland. The photographs were turned into photogravure plates and faintly tinted blue, green, or violet during the printing process. Collectively, the four parts of the series comprise 100 prints.
