Ulrik Møller | A World of Photogravure

Danish artist Ulrik Møller (b. 1962) has created a series of beautiful photogravures in our Copenhagen print studio. The depicted landscapes are quivering with ambience and presence in spite of the quiet and deserted motives.

BORCHs Butik is proud to present Ulrik Møller’s new photogravures, and the exhibition A World of Photogravure with works by Iñaki Bonillas (MX), Tacita Dean (UK), Olafur Eliasson (DK), Carsten Höller (DE), Per Bak Jensen (DK), Adam Jeppesen (DK), Martin Kippenberger (DE), Takehito Koganezawa (JP), Clay Ketter (US), Robert McNally (UK), Tomás Saraceno (AR), Matt Saunders (US), Trine Søndergaard & Nicolai Howalt (DK), and Superflex (DK).

The works illustrate the diversity of photogravure, and they will take us on a journey into the world of this old printing technique, today further developed and refined in a combination of old and new materials and techniques. The aesthetics that characterize photogravure emphasize the photograph as an art object and stress the connection to the old printing techniques.
