Nordic Noir | British Museum

Nordic Noir – works on paper from Edvard Munch to Mamma Andersson presents original prints by artists from the Nordic countries.

The exhibition opens with two prints by Edvard Munch (1863–1944) and explores how the graphic arts continued to flourish and evolve after his death. Featuring over 150 works by 100 artists, Nordic Noir presents prints from the Nordic countries—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden—and includes print projects by Mamma Andersson, Idun Baltzersen, AK Dolven, Per Kirkeby, Ann Lislegaard, Eva Löfdahl, Jockum Nordström and Tal R. The exhibitions is curated by Jennifer Ramkalawon, curator of Western Modern and contemporary graphic art at the museum.
