A strange glow pervades Fiona Tan’s Shadow Archive, illuminating a well-organized collection of endless archival drawers. The starting point for the series of six black-and-white photogravures originates from Tan’s fascination for the Belgian visionary Paul Otlet (1868–1944), and his ambitious idea to catalogue all human knowledge in order to build world peace.
BORCHs Butik is delighted to present a very special series of prints. Originally conceived as a means to support upcoming Berlin artists (hence the portfolio’s name Stützmappe, which translates as Support Portfolio), this series of 13 works is a remarkable testimony to the vibrant atmosphere of the 1990s Berlin art scene.

Since 2010, photogravure has been a recurring media in Danh Vō’s artistic practice. Photogravure is an intaglio technique and it is one of the oldest and finest ways to transfer a photograph to paper.
52 linocuts by Danish artist Asger Jorn (1914-1973) were recently discovered in the basement of his borther’s house in Silkeborg, Denmark. Nobody knew that they had been preserved. Most of the linocuts were unknown and only a few had been reproduced before.
During the summer of 2018, BORCHs Butik presents selected prints by Olafur Eliasson, Carsten Höller, Per Kirkeby, Tal R, Matt Saunders, and SUPERFLEX, and Stanley Whitney.
BORCHs Butik’s group exhibition Blå (Blue) features Tal R’s most recent print project : Blå Dør and recent monotypes by John Zurier alongside a selection of classic print projects by BORCH Editions’ collaborating artists.

Danish artist Ulrik Møller (b. 1962) has created a series of beautiful photogravures in our Copenhagen print studio. The depicted landscapes are quivering with ambience and presence in spite of the quiet and deserted motives.
Preben Hornung (1919–1989), known for his paintings, drawings, and graphic works, played a crucial role in the development of abstraction in 20th century Danish art. A solo exhibition of works from his productive collaboration with Niels Borch Jensen’s Copenhagen print studio will be presented in BORCHs Butik, Copenhagen, from 31 March through 18 May 2017.
For his first collaboration with BORCH Editions, Stanley Whitney created a number of large-scale coloured monotypes alongside a series of black-and-white etchings. We are excited to present the works in BORCHs Butik in Copenhagen.
Per Kirkeby, arguably Denmark’s most famous living artist, announced the end of his career as a painter in 2015. His collaboration with our print shop, which dates back as far as 1979, continues nevertheless, and we are excited to present his latest series of etchings alongside recent monotypes.
