Carsten Höller

BORCHs Butik is pleased to present the results of our collaboration with Carsten Höller since 2004.

We will show Höller’s most recent photogravure project Four Birds plus a selection of earlier works—all printed at our Copenhagen facilities.

The series Four Birds, depicts bird hybrids that were born infertile as a result of their breeding. The depiction is scarce in colour, making it harder to experience their special beauty, as well as serving as a reminder of their transience. The birds’ uniqueness and their sad destiny gain a new esteem in Höller’s prints.
