Ulrik Møller’s seemingly mundane landscapes and empty village streets are visual tales of longing and existential loneliness.
Referencing painters like L. A. Ring or Edward Hopper, Møller’s wet-on-wet paintings exude a quiet, melancholic, atmosphere. The tension between his meticulous depiction of everything he sees and the soft, blurry outlines give his images a mysterious, dreamlike appeal.
Ulrik Møller, born 1962 in Vester Åby, Denmark, lives and works in Berlin. He has been collaborating with BORCH Editions since 2017.
