Tom Sandberg is a reference point in contemporary art photography.
Sandberg explored photography as a language and worked with his subjects abstractly as well as formally and sculpturally. Since the 1970s he had worked with black-and-white photography in an uncompromising, poetic and seductive manner. With diverse interests including classical studies of the female body, natural objects, landscapes, portrait, cloud formations, airplanes or cars, Sandberg consequently masters to infuse his pictures with a strong sense of intensity and personal presence.
