SUPERFLEX work in a wide range of media, from video to large-scale installations, in which spectators become active participants.
The aim of SUPERFLEX’s project is to create products or services that either contribute to the solution of a specific problem for a community, or to increase free distribution, improve the conditions for communication or establish more ethical collaborations. They have thus initiated projects with a life beyond the art world that sustain themselves beyond its boundaries. The works are like tools or seeds that can be spread, reproduced and copied far into the future, where any concept of ‘the art project’ is secondary.
Bjørnstjerne Reuter Christiansen, born 1969, Jakob Fenger, born 1968, and Rasmus Nielsen, born 1969, live and work in Copenhagen, Denmark. They have been collaborating with BORCH Gallery & Editions since 2012.
