At first glance Ceal Floyer’s works appear deceptively simple, but at closer inspection they reveal her wry sense of humour and her taste for the absurd.
Floyer mainly works in film and sculpture, reconfigurating familiar objects as sources of surprise and humour. She encourages us to reconsider our own perception of the world and take a fresh look at what we thought was familiar to us.
Ceal Floyer was born in 1968 and lives and works in Berlin. She has been collaborating with BORCH Editions since 2005.
