The exploration of lines and perspective is central to Erik A. Frandsen’s artistic expression.
Frandsen works in a variety of different media and recycles motives by combining various techniques, such as drawing, printmaking, photography, mosaic or painting. In his work photographic negatives are often basic motives for paintings and etchings. Due to the juxtaposition of origin and new material Frandsen creates a balanced but ambiguous synergy between attraction and rejection.
Erik A. Frandsen, born 1957 in Randers, Denmark, lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has been collaborating with BORCH Gallery & Editions since 1988.
