Emma Kohlmann

Emma Kohlmann’s practice oscillates between a network of mediums: painting, drawing, printmaking zine-making, and design.

Kohlmann draws from an array of influences, some of which include: the studies of Greek and Roman mythology, folk art and zine-making cultures. Her practice is driven by an intuitive sensibility and open approach to knowledge. By reinterpreting the past into new translations, an emotional and optimistic embrace pervades throughout her work.

Emma Kohlmann, born in 1989 in New York City, lives and works in Florence, Massachusetts. She has been collaborating with BORCH Editions since 2023.
