Migration, cultural history and identity are key themes in Danh Vo’s conceptual practice.
Vo’s work draws from a wide range of political and social references that point to both intimate personal histories as well as broader collective narratives. For his projects with BORCH Editions he often uses his own family photographic archive, as well as found images that are imbued with meaning from their former ownership, their proximity to specific historical events or their iconic status in general.
Danh Vo, born 1975 in Bà Rja, Vietnam, lives and works in Berlin and Mexico City. He has been collaborating with BORCH Editions since 2010.
